dogsThe renowned dog trainer Cesar Millan, this article offers a simple guide that can help determine if you are prepared to acquire a pet. This is very useful before you look for Puppies for Sale. It also recommends some authors that can provide information about the fascinating world of canines.
Choosing the right dog is the cornerstone on which to build long and successful relationship between the two. If you have decided you want to share your life with one, you have an incredible opportunity to form a powerful bond with a member of another species. But that opportunity has a price: the price of responsibility.
Know yourself before you know your dog. Before becoming the master of one, I recommend issuing the answer to these important questions that I propose is always yes to the first part of them and not to those given in brackets.

  1. Am I willing to commit to walk my dog ??for at least half an hour a day? (Or I’ll just leave the dog in the garden telling me that way and get enough exercise outdoors?)
  2. Am I willing to commit to learn to be a strong pack leader and calm for my dog? (Or let my dog ??do what you want because it’s easier?)
  3. Am I willing to commit to give my dog ??food and water on a regular basis? (Or give him to eat only when I remember?)
  4. Am I willing to commit to take my dog ??to the vet on a regular basis, to sterilize it, to make the necessary examinations and to put all the shots? (Or I go to the vet only when sick and wounded?)
  5. Am I willing to commit to socialize my dog ??and / or properly trained to never be able to be a danger to other animals or people? (Or will I trust in luck, limiting myself to warn everyone to stay away from my dog?

Approved  Congratulations. Are you prepared to have a dog. And now, what dog to choose? Race is an important factor and there are many guides to consult about the hundreds of different races there. I recommend the American Kennel Club’s Guide to Dog Breeds, with its beautiful color photographs and a fascinating genetic history of each breed.
Your Dream Dog, Bash Dibra, is another book full of information and very helpful when choosing a breed that according to your requirements. Mutts: America’s Dogs by Michael Capuzzo and Brian Kilcommons offers a unique vision in which “rank” the mongrels. The story of the dogs is fascinating, like reading about them.
Yet when it comes to matching a human with perfect dog, my opinion is to find a compatible power is more important than race.
